HOME INFORMATION
EMRAL HOUSE NURSING HOME, 11 CHESTER ROAD, WREXHAM, LL11 2SA is situated between Chester Road and Grove Road, Wrexham, within easy walking distance of the town centre and all its amenities. There are main-route bus stops and ample car parking space at both entrances. We are literally “In the Community”.
The home is registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) as a Care Home with Nursing with 45 beds. A copy of our most recent inspection report is included in this website together with a copy of the home’s annual CIW return.
The Type of Care we Provide
As a General Nursing Home, we provide care for older adults whose problems are mainly physical, although many of our residents also suffer various degrees of confusion in addition to their physical problems. We accept residents for both long term and respite care and often have married couples stay with us, both long and short term, even if only one of them requires nursing care.
The Degree of Care we Provide
We have qualified nurses on duty 24 hours a day, every day of the week and we are equipped to provide nursing care to highly dependent, chronically sick and terminally ill patients. Nearly all of our residents are wheelchair dependent and require hoisting between chairs and beds for which a complete range of lifting equipment is available throughout the home. Many of our residents are bedfast and all rooms are furnished with electrically powered profiling beds to meet particular needs. The home also employs a complete range of electrically powered pressure relieving mattresses to protect residents against skin damage and to aid in the treatment of pressure ulcers. Our nurses have a very considerable amount of experience in care of the elderly and are constantly undergoing training to keep abreast of the latest developments.
Visitors are welcome at all times and will be encouraged to visit as often as possible and to stay as long as they like.
