MEET THE TEAM

Emral House is owned by Pinefold Limited, a company established by Richard Nicholas in 1986 with the purpose of operating a Nursing Home. He is still its managing director and is also registered with Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) as the Responsible Individual (RI) for the home. The company has no other interests outside of Emral House Nursing Home.

Between 60 and 70 people are employed at Emral House, the majority of whom are nurses or carers. Most of the staff have been with the company for many years and some right from the beginning. Over the years, the staff turnover has been low and the home has enjoyed a good reputation with high occupancy levels.

Richard is a graduate of the Royal Society of Chemistry and has over 38 years of experience as a nursing home operator. He was for many years a director of the North Wales Residential and Nursing Homes Association which was the fore runner organisation to Care Forum Wales.

Beverley Hughes the Manager, is qualified to QCF Level 5 and has many years of experience in care home management.

Marjorie Keech the Administrator, deals with all matters relating to client’s fees, employment issues and the payroll.

Zoe the Clinical Lead Nurse, has a Bachelor of Adult Nursing degree, BN (Hons). Her primary role is to visit and assess the needs of potential clients and to oversee the other nurses.

The four named nurses on the day shift are Omar, Ancy, Anna and Roy, each responsible for a group of residents and the two nurses on the night shift, Imelda and Dawn have overall charge of the home at night.

Gaenor is the Catering Manager and in addition to maintaining the home’s 5-star Food Hygiene Rating is involved in organising a host of annual activities and events.

Carol is the Head Housekeeper in overall charge of cleaning and laundry services.

Laurie deals with supplier’s contracts and invoices and certain other non-medical administration.

In total the home currently employs 8 nurses, 42 carers, 2 cooks, 2 kitchen assistants, 2 laundry staff, 5 housekeepers, an activities co-ordinator and numerous maintenance personnel.
